About Pure Basketball

Our Purpose

The purpose of Pure Basketball is to provide youth in New Jersey and Tri-State area with a wholesome avenue for positive personal development by promoting academics and physical activity and to recognizing their dedication and achievements through basketball.
Pure Basketball offers the opportunity to build self-esteem and sportsmanship while learning the fundamentals of basketball. This allows the athlete to excel at the next level.
We bring together youth from all regions and communities into a competitive environment that still supports the principle of sportsmanship.

Our Mission

The Pure Basketball program differs in the fact that while most other organizations focus on the development of the athlete through competition, we use basketball to develop the students’ interests and increase their Academic, Health, Athletic, Social skills and achievement. We demand not only student participation but parent participation as well.
Our program concentrates on the fundamental skills of the game of basketball. Ball handling, passing, shooting, moving without the ball, conditioning, footwork, court awareness, and individual and team defense. Playing basketball can be the first step towards a college scholarship and an improved way of life for any kid that comes through this program. College preparation programs for youth in the neighborhoods are vital to helping break the cycle of poverty that plagues our communities.
Pure Basketball is a Non-Profit 501 (c) (3) organization.
