Myles joined the Pure Basketball program as a coach in 2020 but was one of the first to ever play for the program from 2011-2015. Myles has over 9 years of basketball experience through his playing, his work, and coaching. While playing for one of Pure Basketball first teams, Myles played at the high school level at Hunterdon Central high school. His freshman year he played for the JV team, and through his Sophmore to Senior year he was the Varsity starting point guard. Myles had several Division 3 offers after high school but wanted to focus more on his education due to the reality he was facing that he wasn’t going to play professionally. In late 2014 Myles had got accepted into Xavier University off of an academic scholarship. During his first year knowing he had nothing to lose, he attended the Divsion 1 program’s basketball tryout. Giving the tryout all he had, he ended up making it to the final cuts and was asked to be one of their practice players. During his years as a basketball player Xavier went on to play in the march madness tournament losing in the “Round of 32” in 2016 and making it all the way to the “Elite 8” and 2017. Myles ended up graduating from Xavier University in 2019 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing.
After college, Myles was able to further his basketball knowledge by landing a job back home with the Brooklyn Nets working in sales, marketing, and service. Since being back home Myles has been coaching the 14U and 15U Pure Basketball teams providing his knowledge he’s taken from his experiences over to the kids in the organization. Myles’ 2 brothers Ian and Chad also played for the Pure Basketball organization. Due to being so loyal to the Pure Basketball program Myles’ Pure Basketball jersey is now retired and framed. No one in the Pure Basketball program will ever wear Myles’ #14 ever again.
